Maori Language Week

What we did Today was incredible. Today we learnt about maori and some maori words like moana kia kaha papa purei. All those words that I just said was maori words but its gonna turn into english and here is the english word moana ocean kia kaha be strong papa purei playground. I made a group with my friends Tangi ke and Boston. we created a slide and then shared with each other. We started fast to be the first one done but we took time because if we did our work fast it would not make sence. Our teachers said that to pretend we were teachers.

Wacky Weird Wig Wednesday

Wacky Weird Wig Wednesday It was fun! On Wednesday 16th of September, 2020 we had a Wacky Weird Wig Wednesday. The sale was for hot dogs and ice blocks. Altogether it cost 3 dollars but it wasn’t for the school it was for the cancer society people. When we heard the word Wacky Weird Wig Wednesday I figured out that it was an alliteration. Alliteration means if you use 5 or 4 words with just the same letter w, in this case. But before we had wacky weird wigs Wednesday in the morning I was so excited to come to school because it was a Wacky Weird Wig Wednesday and we could wear anything like the clothes we wore in public. So I got ready, had a shower, put my clothes on, had breakfast, then came to school on time like always.

Cook Island Language

Cook Island Language It was fun learning cook Island words. First in the morning we had fitness. We were meant to have fitness with rooms number 10 and 11. Then we ran around the astritive before we did fitness we had to line up and Mr hendricks told some people to go for a run to the rugby pole and to the second rugby pole and come back but one boy was walking but was running at the end and there was two of them it was a girl and a boy. We came back and learned some cook Island words to be continued. Then we came back and learned some cook island words. it was Kia Orana and it means hello pe’ea koe means how are you meitaki means I am fine akape ea’ koe means how about you and the last one is meitaki means I am fine. We were told to write about what happened in the morning and it was fun. I like learning about Cook Island words because we can greet the teachers and anyone.
